Problem: Fast growing start-up company was receiving a growing high volume of customized photo card orders, most of which required extensive human interaction to ensure high quality and customer service. This human interaction involved roughly 40% of tedious steps such as moving files around, manually sending emails with attachments and following-up over the phone, leading to minor delays.
Solution: Automation! Implemented scripts that operate both on the web server and on individual designer workstations in conjunction with their vector art software. These scripts provided the following:

- Production staff has a link to automatically open base artwork and import customizations before adjusting artwork to perfection.
- Proof export utility for production staff to submit their work for customer review in one step, with automatic email to customer.
- Provided the customer ability to view their proof by clicking a secure link in their email, reviewing policies and approving the proof digitally, immediately and at their convenience.
- Changing order status to production and alerting the production staff when their attention is needed for revisions.
