Process

Web development experience has guided us towards a development approach that ensures high quality and the exceeding of customer expectations. We follow these nine steps for projects of all types and sizes.

1. Listen (no charge for 1st hour) – Listen and understand the concepts behind what our customer needs, being sure to understand overall project goal.
2. Explore – Development Engineer will evaluate the technology solutions and assemble a simple engineering plan. Perform any required technology research and technology testing for any nonstandard features in the design.
3. Estimate (no charge) – A time/cost estimate is generated based on the engineering plan. Each item is estimated individually to allow the client to add or remove items at will. Dependencies among items are specified.
4. Deposit – A deposit is collected in order to schedule the project. Deposits are 50% of the original estimate.
5. Produce – Build the software in a development environment with all simulated data. Client may have periodic access to view the progress.
6. Test – Customer and our Software Test Engineer evaluate the progress both separately and together. Any bugs are addressed with a high priority and re-tested.
7. Launch – We work with our customer and determine a time suitable to all parties to launch the new product and test thoroughly in the production environment. A full backup always proceeds this step.
8. Complete – Completion payment is collected based on actual time spent on the project minus the deposit made. Warranty period begins.
